The Covid-19 Inquiry held a preliminary hearing today (23 October) for Module 9 of the Inquiry, please see here. Module 9 will examine the economic interventions taken by the UK Government and Devolved Administrations in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, including benefits and sick pay, please see here.

The Child Poverty Action Group has been designated as a core participant in Module 9, and made written and oral submissions at today’s hearing, represented by Julia Smyth.
It is anticipated that the next Module 9 hearing will take place in Winter 2025.
