Former Wyevale Garden Centre Alfold

Graeme represented Alfold Real Estate Limited at a s.78 appeal seeking permission for an innovative, high quality, bespoke residential development of 56 dwellings on a former garden centre site in Surrey. The main issues related to the extent of previously developed land, whether Waverley BC can demonstrate a 5 year housing land supply, design matters and effect on residential amenity.

Permission was granted on 16 March 2020 and the scheme (designed by John Pardey Architects) subsequently won the Masterplan Award at the the Housing Design Awards 2020.
