Inquiry commences into hyperscale datacentre in the Green Belt

An inquiry commenced this week for a recovered appeal seeking consent for a 90 MW hyperscale data centre. A previous appeal for a larger data centre on the same site was refused in October 2023 by the previous Secretary of State. The proposed data centre is located in the Green Belt, in the Slough Availability Zone, to the north of the site of the recently approved data centre at the Court Lane Industrial Estate.
