Graeme advises and represents Ardmore Ltd, promoting the allocation of 17.2ha of land for employment uses in the Crawley Local Plan (Examination in Public November 2023 - January 2024). Principal controversial issues relate to the proposal by the Borough Council to retain most of the safeguarding designation for a potential future Southern Runway at Gatwick Airport, and in relation to an area of search for the Crawley Western Multi-Modal Transport Link. The airport safeguarding of Ardmore’s land effectively sterilises what is acknowledged to be highly sustainable and suitable land for employment development. Ardmore’s case is supported by expert planning and highways evidence.
