Graeme advised and represented Ardmore Ltd, promoting the allocation of 17.2ha of land for employment uses in the Crawley Local Plan (Examination in Public November 2023 - January 2024). Principal controversial issues related to the proposal by the Borough Council to retain most of the safeguarding designation for a potential future Southern Runway at Gatwick Airport, and in relation to an area of search for the Crawley Western Multi-Modal Transport Link. The airport safeguarding of Ardmore’s land effectively sterilises what is acknowledged to be highly sustainable and suitable land for employment development.
