Permission granted in Rwandan cases

On Monday 16 January 2023, the Divisional Court (Lewis LJ; Swift J) granted permission to appeal to the Court of Appeal to a number of claimants in the judicial reviews concerning potential removals of asylum seekers to Rwanda for the purpose of processing their asylum claims. The Court held that there were compelling reasons for the matters to be considered on appeal. Richard Drabble KC (instructed by Wilsons) appeared for two of the claimants (RM and ASM).
