After a very long road (and many lock down consultations) resolution to grant planning permission for The Whitechapel Road Life Sciences Cluster, which involves developing a world-class masterplan for 80,977m² GIA of lab and office space along with major public realm improvements was made last week.
The proposals will transform a series of outdated buildings and vacant sites around the Royal London Hospital, acting as a catalyst to create a thriving life sciences cluster. This development will pave the way for neighbouring commercial partners to bring forward further projects, delivering a range of economic, health, and social benefits for Tower Hamlets.
