3 day inquiry into an appeal by CALA Homes against Aylesbury Vale District Council’s refusal to grant planning permission for a 66 dwelling development on an unallocated greenfield site on the edge of the village of Ickford. The main issues included alleged impact on several nearby listed buildings and on the character of the settlement, landscape and visual impact, an emerging neighbourhood plan, housing land supply and the operation in the light of of these considerations of the development plan and the NPPF para. 11 tilted balance. On 29 August 2019 the Inspector allowed the appeal and granted planning permission. Charles Banner QC appeared for the appellant, CALA Homes, instructed by Pegasus.
