Recorder Appointments

We are delighted to announce that David Lock QC and Aaron Walder have been appointed by The Queen as Recorders on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, The Right Honourable Dominic Raab MP, and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, The Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon. David will sit to hear criminal cases in the Midland Circuit in addition to sitting as a Deputy High Court Judge in the Family, Queen’s Bench and Administrative Court. Aaron will also sit to hear criminal cases in the Midland Circuit in addition to sitting as a Fee-Paid Judge of the Property Chamber of the First-Tier Tribunal. The appointments will take effect from 26 January 2022.
