The second edition of National Security Law, Procedure and Practice has now been published by Oxford University Press. It is the only UK legal textbook in the field of national security law.
The book covers the full range of national security law, procedure and practice, with chapters on all areas from public law and immigration measures, TPIMS, criminal, civil proceedings, public inquiries and inquests, employment, education, family law, vetting, proscription, state threats, sanctions, state intervention in investments, FOIA and DPA, as well as the history, background to and regulation of the security and intelligence agencies.
It has contributions from leading experts in the field and has a Foreword from Lord Sales. It is co-edited by David Blundell KC and Robert Ward CBE KC (Hon).
David wrote chapter 8, “Judicial Review”, and co-wrote chapter 11 “SIAC Individual Measures (2): Deprivation, Exclusion and Naturalisation”.
