Following the publication this weekend of an article by Christopher Katkowski QC, Charles Banner QC, Kate Olley, Matthew Fraser and Matthew Henderson addressing PINS concerns about how allowing planning appeals to proceed by video/phone conferencing during the COVID-19 crisis would be compliant with the law on fairness and public participation, Sir Lynton Crosby and Gavin Stollar of the CT Group have written to the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government endorsing this proposed solution from their perspective as experts in understanding community opinion and motivating the public to actively participate in the democratic process.
