Experienced Rating and Valuation barristers
Having appeared in six out of the eight cases to reach the UK Supreme Court, Landmark Chambers is recognised by Chambers and Partners as being a market leader in this complex area of practice. Landmark’s members appear in cases before the Upper Tribunal, Court of Appeal, and Supreme Court and are frequently instructed by ratepayers, billing authorities, and the Valuation Office Agency (VOA).
Chambers is now looking to consolidate further its position in Rating and Valuation through the recruitment of practitioners with a minimum of 7 years’ experience.
In addition to practicing in Rating and Valuation, you will have significant experience in at least one of Landmark’s additional areas of expertise including planning, environment, property litigation, judicial review, CPO, local government, procurement and state aid, and other areas of public and administrative law.
Landmark is listed in Tier 1 for Rating and Valuation (Chambers and Partners) and is home to six of the eight silks ranked in Band 1.
For the past 10 years Landmark has staged its annual Rating Conference, an event which has grown steadily in popularity over the years and is now seen by surveyors, local authorities, and solicitors as being one of the key forums for discussing recent case law and other developments relevant to those practicing in field of Rating.
