Our work experience programme has been designed to help students discover more about life in a barristers’ Chambers. Work experience will be undertaken with members of staff and is not to be confused with a mini-pupillage. During their time in Chambers, students will meet with various members of the Practice Management and Administration Teams and will undertake such tasks as follows:

• Conduct legal research to create bundles
• Learn about the collection of fees
• Take barristers’ papers to Court
• Arrange travel for the barristers
• Assist with the production of marketing materials and running events
• Other ad hoc administrative duties.

Some of the work is likely to be physical in nature, so please let us know if this will present any difficulty and we will make reasonable adjustments.

To make an application, please submit the following to Natasha White-Foy, HR and Administration Manager:

• a letter of no more than two A4 pages explaining why you would like to undertake work experience at our Chambers
• a completed copy of the Chambers’ Equal Opportunities Monitoring Form.

The student must have signed the Chambers’ Confidentiality forms before commencing their placement.
